Plant care

Snake Plants are exceptionally low-maintenance, thriving in a range of light conditions from low light to bright, indirect light. They even tolerate direct sunlight, though they grow best in moderate light. Plant your Snake Plant in well-draining soil, such as a cactus or succulent mix, to prevent root rot, which is its only significant vulnerability. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings—typically every 2-6 weeks, depending on the light and temperature. Snake Plants are incredibly drought-tolerant, so it's better to underwater than overwater. These plants require minimal feeding; a light application of a balanced, liquid fertilizer once or twice during the growing season (spring and summer) is sufficient. The plant's slow growth means it doesn't need frequent repotting, but when it outgrows its pot, usually every 2-3 year.
