Plant care

Soil

Lantanas prefer well-draining soil and are very drought-tolerant and low-maintenance once established. Lantanas prefer soil with 6-6.5pH.

Light

Lantanas thrive in full sun. The ideal temperature for Lantana: 5 - 20°C.

Watering

Water them deeply but infrequently, allowing the soil to dry between waterings. Lantanas benefit from a light feeding of balanced fertilizer in early summer, but too much fertilizer can lead to excessive leaf growth at the expense of flowers.

Care

To encourage more blooms, deadhead spent flowers and lightly prune to maintain shape. In warmer climates, Lantana can be a perennial; in colder regions, it's often treated as an annual or brought indoors to overwinter.
