Plant care

Soil

Jade plants require a well-draining succulent or cactus mix to prevent root rot. Adding sand or perlite to regular potting soil can improve drainage.

Light

This plant thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. A sunny windowsill is ideal, but avoid prolonged exposure to harsh afternoon rays, which can scorch the leaves.

Watering

Water deeply but infrequently, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is a common cause of issues. During winter, water even less frequently.

Care

Humidity: Jade plants prefer low humidity and dry environments. Fertilization: Feed with a diluted succulent fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer). Pruning: Trim overgrown or leggy branches to maintain a compact, bushy shape.

Air purifying properties: Yes

Toxic to pets: Yes
